Number of visitors :

You will find in the village and in the surroundings a lot of activities to share with the local people. You can also discover the fauna and the flora of Zanzibar (Jozani forest and its monkeys)

At high tide, you can plunge into the water and swim out from the top of the beach

At low tide, the water recedes towards the distant reef so you can walk out far in the shallow water to see fishermen coming back and women busy working in the seaweed plantations. You can also enjoy swimming or relaxing in the chunnel, the perfect swimming pool!

- fishing : sailing on a small local boat (dhow) and fishing in the traditional fashion beyond the reef or in the lagoon

- Rental of a local wooden boat (dhow) to sail to a dolphin spot called Kizimkazi

- "snorkelling" : to admire exceptional marine life, mask and tuba are enough, the equipment can be hired on the beach

- Biking on the beach at low tide : bicycles for hire in the village

- Scuba diving : there are a few small Padi diving centres nearby

- Picnic (crab, lobster and fish) on a small island ( departure from Bungui ) and snorkelling

   Michamvi 's beach
